Tournament Rules
1.National High School Federation Rules will be used throughout the tournament with any exceptions listed below.
2. There is a 2 hour time limit on all games except for the playoff rounds and championship games. This rule means that no inning can start after 1:45 game duration.

3. This is a wood bat tournament.
4. There is a mercy rule for this tournament, the rule states 12 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 8 runs after 5 innings.
5. 2 Extra Hitters (EH) and 1 Designated Hitter (DH) can be used by either team, allowing you to get more players into the game, allowing for 11 batters. The Extra Hitter Can play in the field at any point in the game however the DH Cannot play the field at any time unless a coach options to lose his DH for their pitcher.
6. Re-Entry Rule- You Can Speed up for your catcher and pitcher with the last batted out in your lineup.
7. ALL substitutions and changes must go through the home plate umpire and the official scorer designated at each field.
8. All coaches that are on the field or coaching the bases must be in proper baseball atire (Team shirt and shorts are acceptable.
9. Any coach or player that is ejected from a game is automatically suspended for the next game of the tournament. (Upon Review from Tournament Director and Head Umpire)
10. Each team will play 4 games, home and away will be decided via pregame coin flip.
11. Any protests will be handled at the time of the incident. There are site supervisors at all fields and will handle any protests brought by a manager and will make a decision appropriately.

Semi-Finals and Championship will be played at Bill Beck Field on the Campus of the University of Rhode Island

***Refund Policy***
The Ocean State Waves are NOT responsible for refunds due to weather. The Ocean State Waves will offer future credit of 50% of the tournament fee for a future tournament if a team does not play two games.
The rationale is that deposits are due in advance for fields, umpires, baseballs, and misc. expenses.
