Robert Hitt is in his sophomore season at Quinnipiac University.  Hitt is a right-handed pitcher from Suffield, Connecticut.  This summer will be Robert's first with the Ocean State Waves.

So far this season, Hitt has made three appearances for the Bobcats and struck out 10 batters in 12.2 innings pitched.  As a freshman, Robert made a big impact on the Qunnipiac pitching staff, going 6-4 with a 4.10 ERA in 59.1 innings.  He also added two saves last season.  Robert's six wins were good for the team lead.  He was second on the team in appearances, strikeouts, and strikeouts per seven innings.

Hitt got a start for Quinnipiac in the MAAC tournament on May 21 against Canisius.  Robert put together a very impressive performance, going seven strong innings allowing only one run and four hits to get the win.  He also put up seven strikeouts, a career high.

Prior to Quinnipiac, Hitt attended Suffield High School where he played baseball and basketball.  In 2014, Robert helped lead his team to a NCCC Conference Tournament Championship and a 17-6 record.  He was honored with the NCCC Tournament MVP award.  Robert was also named All-State and All-Conference in 2014.  Hitt is the Suffield High School record holder for ERA, strikeouts, wins, and batting average.

In Legion play, Hitt helped lead Windsor Locks American Legion team to a 26-2 record and was named the 2013 Zone 8 American Legion Pitcher of the Year.

Hitt is currently a business major at Quinnipiac.
